Memere gets her baby fix

and Pepere too

We tried to get a group shot..

but Elliott just wouldn't cooperate

admiring the newest addition, at least for a little while..

On our way home, we stopped to visit Nancy Wellman

meeting Lorelei for the first time

Elliott enjoys Grandma Nancy's tractor collection

Rachel finishes a puzzle Nancy had been working on for a while

and Nana and Lorelei enjoy an inside joke

Back at home - Elliott's tired on his first day of preschool

doing some scooping on the school playground

right at home in the giant sandbox

He came home that day to a big box from Grandma Lucy - and tried to open it with the scissors (he LOVES to cut things - uh oh!)

Lorelei looks on, while snacking on her shirt

What can I cut now? ooh ooh!

Shadow's not impressed.. bummer about those non-opposable thumbs.

Elliott explores his new Duplo blocks with enthusiasm

and the Babe snored on..

Elliott loves Grandma's zinnias

Lorelei's pretty excited about the bristle blocks

Elliott and Grandma count cars

"Hmm, how about that one!" Lorelei explains family dynamics to Aunt Nan

Elliott helps make biscuits - it's all fun until I finally insist on putting them in the oven.. "I want my dough! I don't want to cook it, noooo!"

one snoozing...

the other one snoozing...

and mom runs away gleefully kicking her heels! (for about 4 minutes anyway)

Uhh.. a little too big for that, silly.

Elliott, Jess and Lorelei ride a fire truck at the fair

Wee!

Elliott and Mike go on a bear ride - "I want the pink one"

there they go! (yes, Elliott's in there, but I never got a good shot of him)

Lorelei watches with interest, from the safety of her sling

rehydration break before popping into the moon bounce, by far his favorite

Elliott and Mike enjoy the "Shrek" themed fun house. Pretty lame from our standards, but he still had a good time

funny mirrors

Elliott danced happily around all the rubberbands

Lorelei watching again... I wonder what she's thinking?

Elliott rolling around on the roller. Mike finally had to pick him up because he just wouldn't leave.

And this is why it's worth learning how to spell. It's not Ogre, and it's not Orgy.. something in between? I don't want to know.

we headed over to the agriculture area, and watched some chicks hatch

Elliott spies the giant sandbox full of corn, and the rest of the universe melts away into a pool of irrelevance

He's not happy when we have to go

ponies

"Remember dears, we don't quack to strangers. Don't look at them, and they'll go away."

We meet up with Jim, Tracy and the girls to eat some wonderfully disgusting fair food and watch a diving show that just happened to be starting right then - Kira's not that impressed

the finale of the show "now kids, don't try this at home". Does that really need to be said? who would be SO dumb? I wish I had gotten a picture of the cool penguin suited acrobats who went first. Oh well.

Kira doing the "lose your pants dance"
