Rachel and Lea try it too

Rachel adjusts Elliott's pelican beak

taking advantage of one of the few last warm, sunny days.. tilling the garden

Terry holds sleeping Lorelei in the sling and gets some weeding in while Jess finishes Elliott's costume

Lorelei tries on Elliott's beak

touring the amazing pumpkins on Cilley Hill Road - look closely at the big one at the bottom - the "Eyes" are actually a pear-shpaed pumpkin stuck into the top hole in the bottom pumpkin.. really cool!

Elliott peers into a rotten pumpkin

he has to touch the plastic wrap (used to keep the candles from blowing out)

Lorelei hanging in there on a chilly night

Happy Halloween!

We went back the next day, Halloween day, to see the pumpkins in the daylight

Elliott enjoying the pumpkinscape

the best part - running up and down on the planks!

Lorelei the chilly insomniac - notice all the sleeping pictures in the first few months, and how few there are these days.. she just fights sleep every nap of every day..

a beautiful bee resting on a cold pumpkin

pumpkins placed in the water - amazing!

Skeptical lorelei insists on reading the label before partaking

Hmm... still not sure

Well, ok, I'll try it

rice cereal/milk grin

Gee mom, what's that white blobby stuff on our shirt?

Even Shadow can't decide between the Maya Wrap and the Ergo

Rice cereal is for the birds, I prefer real food!

Hey, this pea pod isn't half bad!

Lorelei singing a happy food song

I can stick my tongue out too!

a minor miracle: two kids, clean, dressed, sitting still, smiling for a photo

Elliott's complete pelican costume

trick or treat, or fish in beak?

Granpa follows though with a treat

Lorelei humors us as we stuff her into her scary republican suit
