Two sleepyheads..

ahh, a rare moment for me to run off and.. wash the dishes. Sigh.

Elliott enjoying his new trapeze bar - Mike manages to put it up even as Elliott hangs all over it..

Once again, Lorelei is not impressed

Elliott strumming the box/rubberband guitar ("buh-tahr") he made

hammering the nails

Lorelei snoozing

Just look at that little pudgling!

Lorelei rolls!! Seriously, this is the first time she rolled, caught on film!

There she goes...

The torso is one thing, but can she get her big diaper bum over?

Yay, she does it!!

Elliott crushing oreos for home-made cookies and cream ice cream.. yum!

Elliott and I hand squeezed a bag of lemons and made lemonade slushies - yum!

Can I add more sugar mom?

Sweet smile

Later, Elliott decides he wants "cocoa" (chocolate milk), but wouldn't let me add milk! (preview if his future moustache)

Lorelei grinning (she loves to clasp her hands together, curl around and munch on them)

aww..

Lorelei decidedly not grinning (she's actually sitting up here - she can sit up sort of, but totally flops over if someone's not holding her hips)

checking out Rachel's t-shirt

Rachel plays with babe

Nana gets her baby fix

Ahh, that's better!

Elliott's new ears (he loves putting things up to - and into - his ears)

stealing a kiss

Lorelei is SO BIG!

the evolution of the Dirtiest Boy on Earth

it all starts off innocently enough with a little sand play..

picking blackberries in the yard is a daily ritual

"Look mom, I fell into a mud puddle!" (actually he found the only standing water around, and managed to cram as much of his body into the crack as possible, making sure to wet every article of clothing on his body)

Nearby, a tiny toad is unimpressed (Elliott tried to catch it, but it was super quick and got away)

"can I spray my feet?" - yeah... "look, I'm making an ocean" turned into leaping into muddy driveway puddles.. which then turned into "washing" the car.. when he accidentally sprayed me, I walked away to sit and nurse the newly awakened and unhappily wet baby, and when I looked up..

this is what I saw.. "I'm mixing the water in so the plants can grow"

he then started leaping in, and even stuck his feet on the air like an upturned turtle, wallowing in the mud

I told him he missed a spot, so he's looking for the "clean spot"

final result - it got worse too. We filled his little pool so he could wash off, but when I peeled the mud-covered clothes from his body, he ran back into the whiskey barrel, and started wallowing totally naked. I finally sprayed him down and got him into the tub/shower after he was half-frozen. The clothes may never be the same. Darn, I really liked that shirt too. We'll see.

"hey, that looks like fun, can I play in the mud too?"
