Lorelei plots her next move

no really, I was just sitting here being cute

Here's a movie of Lorelei talking. She jabbers along frequently, especially if someone is looking direectly at her. She cracks up laughing at the ceiling fan in the morning, especially if it's on. She's also a champion spit bubble blower, but I have yet to catch a good one on the camera. She loves watching Elliott, and they frequently make funny faces at each other while he's on the potty (he always wants "company" when using the pot, and refuses to try to learn to pull up his own underwear.. so much for independence).

Elliott's enjoying the scaffolding the window folks left up. He will climb far higher than I am comfortable letting him climb. He's definitely my clone in that regard (I always loved, and still love, climbing). He really enjoys talking to Pat about everything under the sun as he hammers and shims away.

Elliott also had his first tantrum this week, followed closely by two more. It's usually when he's overtired and hasn't eaten well in a few hours, but it's impossible to mistake, and really quite irrational. Not much we can do but wait until he calms himself down and comes to his senses. It's almost like a seizure of the mind, and no logical words on our part will help. I've tried talking about it later, and it seems that letting it rest for several days, and then bring it up, works the best..
