Resources Available to McNair Scholars off Campus

  • Biomedical Science Careers Program, Inc - BSCP provides students of all races, ethnic backgrounds, gender and financial status with encouragement, support and guidance needed for the successful pursuit of careers in biomedical sciences; includes information on careers, scholarships, internships and other resources
  • National Academies - Consortium that includes The National Academies of Science, Engineering, Medicine and the National Research Council;  provides updates on current events, research, general information on career options and links to opportunities for internsips, fellowships and post-docs, and employment
  • National Insititute of Health, Inc. - The NIH is one of the world's foremost medical research centers, and the focal point for medical research in the US; its goal is to acquire new knowledge to help prevent, detect, diagnose, and treat disease and disability, from the rarest genetic disorder to the common cold; includes links to research training, internships and employment opportunities
  • New England Board of Higher Education - NEBHE is a consortium of delegates from the six New England states dedicated to the core belief that the success of New England lies with opportunities in higher education;  includes information on the 270 colleges in the region, specialty programs, scholarships, internships and tuition assistance programs
