Scholars Will Present Wide-Ranging Student Research Aug. 9 - Article in
The View announcing the annual McNair Symposium for the public
presentation of summer research.

World Bank Grants Hope - Link to a June 1, 2007 press
release and ABC Television newscast featuring 22 winners of World Bank Development
Marketplace grants. From an original field of 3,000 applicants, UVM McNair alum
Abraham Awolich was awarded $200,000 as the co-founder of the New Sudan Education
Initiative (NESEI), a non-profit formed to build high schools in civil war-torn
southern Sudan.

Win Fulbright, Truman, Goldwater, Madison Awards - April 18, 2007 article in

selected as a 2007 Truman Scholar in a highly competitive and prestigious national
competition which awards recipients $30,000 for graduate study in public service
