Vienna Mcleod        

major                         Exercise and Movement Science; Nutrition Minor

extracurricular     Vienna is currently involved with two research projects in pediatric obesity wth the support of the URECA! and Student Research Awards. She is currently training for the Vermont City Marathon in May 2014.


 

Lauren morlino

major                         Political Science

minor                         Spanish and Environmental Studies

extracurricular   During her time here at UVM, Lauren has interned at the statehouse with UVM's Vermont Leislative Research Service and at the statewide energy efficiency utility, Efficiency Vermont (EVT). At EVT, Lauren has planned and implemented two trials of advanced power strips and supported other functions of the Efficient Products Program, helping Vermonters save money and Energy. Outside of School, Lauren enjoys traveling, Horseback Riding, and spending quality time with friends.

Allie goldberg

major                        Early Childhood Special Eduation (concentrations: American Sign Language; Human Development and Family Studies)

extracurricular     Allie has spent the last five summers working as a counselor and unit head at a sleep away camp in the Berkshires. She works for the Office of Admission's Student Contact team where she calls prospective students and talks to them all about UVM! In her free time, she plays the cello, sings, and takes photos. She also loves to read all kinds of books and loves to draw.

Extracurricular     Collen is an Office Assistant at the UVM foundation, an Alternative Spring Break Site Leader, a Rubenstein School Steward, and a Service Trek Leader. She is also a member of Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity.

Calista allen

extracurricular     Calista (Katie) is a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority and secretary of Rho Lambda Honor Society. She was a member of the Girl Scouts of the USA for 11 years and earned the Gold and Silver award. She currently works as a nanny and an office manager and in the past has volunteered with the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Burlington as a mentor. She loves to ski and she loves cows.

Hannah rickner

major                        Biology

minor                        Anthropology

extracurricular     As a member of the College of Arts and Sciences Honors College, Hannah is currently conducting undergraduate research on purinergic signaling in the vomeronasal organ of mice for her senior thesis. She plays in the UVM concert band and also volunteers with Volunteers in Action (VIA), spending Sundays at the Chittenden Emergency Food Bank serving meals with Food Salvade. Hannh also works part-time at the State of Vermont's microbiology fish health laboratory. After graduation she plans on following her love of science and service to apply for medical school.

extracurricular     Alana is an active member and mentor with the DREAM program. She is a Fletcher Allen Volunteer and plays intramural broomball. She also works at the Fleming Museum as a gallery attendant.

extracurriculars   Bronwen is currently writing an honors thesis on Poetry as a Complex System and combining her interests in both the humanities and mathematics. She is the Assistant Manager at the Vermont Butcher Block and Board company, a member of the TOWER society, and an intern with the UVM Lane Series. She is also a URECA! and Mini Grant recipient.

jeanelle Achee

extracurricular     Jeanelle is currently Miss Vermont 3013 and this past September she competed in the Miss America 2014 pageant. She is a member of the TOWER society and is also a Truman scholar. She has logged hundreds of volunteer hours with HOPE works and her platform as Miss Vermont has been "Stop the Silence: Advocating for Survivors of Sexual Violence and Promoting Healthy Relationships".

If there won't be dancing at the revolution, I'm not coming

Zachary pion

extracurricular     Zach is a member of Phi Mu Delta Praternity, UVM Fraternity & Sorority Life, a front office assistant at the Courtyard Burlington Harbor hotel, and an admissions volunteer in the school of business. He is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society, Gamma Sigma Alpha Greek Academic honor socity, Order of Omega Greek Leadership Honor society, and Alpha Kappa Delta International Sociological Honor society. He has also served as president for several of these organizations and societies.

Heidi Considine

major                        Biological Science

extracurricular     Heidi has just graduated (December 2013) and she hopes to pursue a career in Medicine at UVM medical school. She is not a traditional student, however; she is a registered Dental Hygienist and she practiced for a few years before coming to UVM. She has organized many events like Children's Oral Health Day at Vermont Technical College, and a 'Hope on the Slopes' event at Bolton. She also volunteers regularly with her dog at Fletcher Allen Hospital.

     Don't become a wandering generality. 
Be a meaningful specific.

Rebecca Florence

Extracurricular    During the past four years, Rebecca has interned in the finance department of Stony Brook University, a public accounting firm in Manhattan, and is currently a tax intern at a local firm in Burlington. She is starting her Masters in Accounting here at UVM this semester. Her interests include snowboarding, hiking, painting, and volunteering with children in local communities.

Celebrate we will, because life is short but sweet for certain.

Avalon Lambert

Extracurricular    Avalon is a member of the Pre-Med club as well as MEDLIFE. She recently went on a brigade to Lima, Peru, to set up mobile medical clinics in impoverished areas through MEDLIFE. She hopes to attend medical school and become an OBGYN. She is currently learning to play the guitar, and she loves to read. She is passionate about bringing the joy of reading to children.
