Shelly Naud, PhD

Shelly Naud is a biostatistician at the Medical Biostatistics and Bioinformatics Facility which is affiliated with UVM?s College of Medicine. She collaborates with various researchers on diverse projects and is one of the consulting statisticians for the Vermont Cancer Center. She earned an M.S. in statistics at UVM and a Ph.D. at Michigan State. While at Michigan, Shelly also learned that lakes and mountains are a necessary part of her landscape and she is very happy to be living in the Champlain Valley.

In her first career, Shelly was a learning disabilities specialist in New Hampshire after earning her education degrees at the University of Sherbrooke, Quebec, and SUNY at Amherst/Buffalo. Vacations are spent visiting family in Quebec, New Hampshire, Florida and New Mexico. Favorite activities include reading, gardening, and baking.
