Graduate Program in Materials Science
The Materials Science Program offers Master of Science and the Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Materials Science. Each student must meet the general requirements for admission as outlined under the regulations of the University of Vermont Graduate College.
Typically, students entering the program have received a Bachelor's degree in physics, chemistry, metallurgy, engineering, materials science, or mathematics. Applicants with other backgrounds will be evaluated individually. Students in the program are sponsored by the participating department which best reflects the student's background and interests.
Part-time study leading to the Master of Science degree is possible for engineers who are employed in the vicinity.
