I'm looking for a work-study job or a part-time job. What should I do? I suggest you register with the Fletcher Allen Health Care Human Resources Department as they often have part-time jobs in the Radiology Department. Occasionally, the UVM Radiation Safety Office will have vacancies in its 3 work-study positions. Another possible source of part-time employment is Pharma Logic, Inc. where our students obtain practical experience in radiopharmacy.
Where will I be going for my Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiation Therapy clinical internship during the Spring of my senior year? Tentative assignments will be made in the late-spring semester of your junior year. Information will be given to you about each affiliate, and each student will determine their 1st choice, 2nd choice, etc. Then, we will have a lottery to determine the order of selection.
I like using my aol (or yahoo or netscape or hotmail, etc.) email account. Can I use it while I am at UVM? Yes you can, however, most UVM faculty and administrators will assume that you are using your uvm.edu email account, so please set up the autoforward by going to webmail.uvm.edu.
How do I deal with hearing impaired students, faculty, etc.? I suggest that everyone read the "Ten Commandments for those who Interact with the Hearing Impaired"
