Claire Cunningham and Jess Curtis: The Way You Look (At Me) Tonight
How do we look at each other? How do we allow ourselves to see us? The Way You Look (At Me) Tonight is a sensory journey through dancing, singing, and stories. Claire Cunningham, one of the UK’s most acclaimed disabled artists, and international choreographer and performer Jess Curtis combine performance, original music, and video to wrestle (sometimes literally) with questions of how we perceive each other and the world. The dancers perform a duet that excavates their own ways of seeing each other- as a man and woman of different ages, bodies, and backgrounds- while also addressing queerness, sexism, and ableism. The show unfolds on the MainStage with a small audience on stage surrounding dancers.
