About Me

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Vermont. My research interests lie in the intersection of estimation theory, signal processing, control theory and learning technologies with emphasis in approaches that are non-parametric and model-free for applications in power systems, monitoring of environmental systems, quantum control and general modelling of nonlinear systems. Prior to joining the University of Vermont as an assistant professor, he was research assistant professor at the university of Vermont (2016-2019) and was faculty in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of George Mason University (2014-2016). He also held a postdoctoral position at Johns Hopkins University (2010-2011) and a research associate position at the University of New South Wales in Canberra, Australia (2011-2013). He received his Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from Old Dominion University in 2009, the M.S. degree in mathematics from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú in 2005 and the B.S. degree in physics from the Universidad Nacional de Ingenería in Perú in 2003.
