SnowMAN 2.0

Welcome to SnowMAN 2.0

SnowMAN 2.0 is an engineering senior design project for the
University of Vermont.
It's a modular system that is used to measure the snow density on the mountain to predict the snow melt runoff in the spring. We have two tasks for this project:
            1. to build a new support structure for the system,
            2. to select the battery technology appropriate for our application                 and use energy harvesting to charge the battery for 6 months.

The goal of these two tasks is to create a universal system that can be applied to numerous applications; some other applications for this technology are: under canopy snow density study, stream bed erosion study, and porous concrete testing.

Please see Spring Progress for the updated design info.
