PHYS 030 - Problem Solving for Physics I

Syllabus

Course Description

PHYS 030 focuses on problem-solving techniques for first-semester physics with calculus.  It is designed to accompany PHYS 031.  Students are required to be concurrently enrolled in PHYS 031.

The purpose of this class is to prepare students for problem-solving and test-taking for PHYS 031.  We will specifically address homework problems, provide an opportunity for question and answer, and prepare for exams in PHYS 030.

While enrollment in PHYS 030 is not required for PHYS 031, it is highly suggested.

Class meets Fridays from 8:30 - 9:20 in Votey B105.

In each class we will spend time going over homework problems and discussing problem-solving techniques.

Textbook

The text we will use is the same as the text for PHYS 031.
