Courses I Teach
has been identified by the Department of Labor as one of the
most rapidly expanding sectors of the job market. It is also
one with great demand. In 2004 the Secretary of Labor cited a
survey in which 87% of companies indicated they had trouble
filling geospatial technology positions. Geospatial technology
has a great influence on our daily lives, whether it is using a
GPS unit while on a hike to getting directions via Google Maps.
I enjoy teaching courses focused on geospatial technology
because it is a hands-on subject matter, and one that requires
both a theoretical understanding and applied knowledge.
Please visit the links on the left for more information on the courses I am currently teaching. If you are interested in geospatial technology course offerings at UVM, please consult the GST Minor page and don't hesitate to contact me if you have questions.
