I serve as Programme Coordinator for the IUCN/Species Survival Commission Canid Specialist Group, which is based at the Wildlife Conservation Research Unit of the University of Oxford. The Group is the red list authority for wild members of the canidae family (wolves, jackals, foxes, and wild dogs) and has 75 members representing over 45 countries. We conduct periodic assessments of the conservation status of each canid species, promote canid research and conservation efforts, establish networks between canid researchers, conservationists, and the general public, and publish a peer-reviewed journal, Canid Biology & Conservation.

I also serve as Research Associate for the Denver Zoo – Conservation Biology Department. My duties focus on developing, managing, and maintaining conservation efforts in the Ikh Nart Nature Reserve of Mongolia. I am also a member of the Vermont Scientific Advisory Group for Mammals, which provides scientific advice to the State of Vermont.
