Tip
Project: The Technology Intern Project is an independent
study that I offer to undergraduate students to allow them to apply
their technology skills by helping others. During the 1999-2000 year I
had students work in Lake Champlain Basin Science Center teaching Burlington
H,S. ESL students how to create electronic portfolios using HyperStudio.
Another worked in the Technology for Teaching Lab helping other students
and faculty use technology tools and
In the 2000 - 2001 semester I supervised
three Independent studies: One student is developing a Hyperstudio teaching
stack for Lake Champlain Basin Science Center, another student taught
PowerPoint to two Edmunds middle school classes and a PE student developed
a website and worked with
a PE faculty member to help her develop a site about MS.

Elementary Education Portfolio
Committee: I serve on this committee that guides policy and
implementation of our program's portfolio assessment of preservice students
for state teaching certification. Each semester I also present to
elementary education seniors about the concept and practice of electronic
portfolio documentation. I spend about 20 additionalhours each semester
with seniors to help them personally prepare their portfolios and offer
8 hours of workshops a year to help them refine their web publishing skills.
