Workshop Activities
1.Riding the Information Highway, PowerPoint Presentation. What is the Internet and how does it work? What is a URL? How do we get to Internet sites.
2. Take a ride on Web66 and locate H.S. Language Arts Departments. Find a good example of Internet used in a language arts class. Note the address and why you liked the site.
3. Bookmarking places for revisiting. How to save bookmarks to disks and add to your favorite browser. 
4. Saving and printing Internet resources. Saving text vs source. Saving pictures. 
5. Searching the Internet: Which search engine should I use? Should I use a category tree or spider or mega crawler?
6. Applying searching and bookmarking skills: A scavenger hunt of H.S. English resources.
7. Check out Ten ways to use the Internet: Identify ideas that you might be able to use this semester. 
8. Examine Language Arts Internet Links: Which of these resources did you find most useful? Which would you recommend to your colleagues?
