Powering This camera has a rechargeable battery. Before using, it is best to make sure the battery is fully charged. Playtime runs around 1 1/2 to 2 hours. To charge the battery, plug the transformer into the the outlet and camera as shown in figure 1. To use if the battery is low, plug in the same way.

figure 1 Inserting a Cassette This camera uses DV-Mini cassettes. Under the camera there is an eject button as shown in figure 2. Slide the eject button and the cartridge casing will open from the bottom of the camera.
Place the cassette in the slot as shown in figure 3.
To make the mechanism close and load the DVD cassette, press the side casing in towards the camera as shown by the arrow of figure 4. It takes a couple of seconds for the camera to respond. Do not press down on the platform with the yellow strip.

figure 4 Taping and Replaying
Remember to remove the lens cap before you film. You may wish to open the side screen to view your image or look through the traditional view finder. Make sure you are not retaping over previously saved footage that you wish to keep.To view the tape, turn the red button to the play mode (down) and use the side buttons to fast forward or review your tape. (figure 5)
To tape, move the red button to the Camera position (up) and press. Pressing again will pause the taping process. (figure 6)

figure 6 Zooming and Single Shots
While taping you can zoom in to closely view your subjects. Zoom slowly and not too frequently. Lots of movement is distracting to the composition. To get a closer view, move the gray dial (figure 7) to the right. To get a Wider view, slowly move the gray dial to the left.To capture a single shot, press the gray button next to the word photo.

Slide the eject button (on the bottom of the camera) and the cartridge casing will open. Wait until the cartridge casing has stopped moving and take out the cassette.To close the mechanism, press in the the side casing, towards the camera. the mechanism will lower itself into the camera. (figure 8)
