When adjusting the brightness of a photo it is important to remember that MAC screens see images brighter than WINDOW screens. If you are working on a MAC, make sure your image appears very bright because it will appear darker on a Windows Monitor. If you are working on a Windows machine, make sure your image does not appear too bright for it will be all washed out looking on a Macintosh monitor.

Improper lighting can cause your photo to look too dark and dull. This can usually be remedied in Photoshop. |

Under the IMAGE menu from the top of the page select adjust and then Brightness/Contrast |

Position the control box that appears so that you can view your changes as you adjust the sliding bar. |

ALSO Under the IMAGE menu select adjust and then Hue/Saturation |

Slide the Hue and Saturation Bars to enrich your photo with color or to remove intense color. |
