Who
am I?
Hello,
My name is Prad Bitt (pbitt@zoo.uvm.edu) and I'm a first
year student at The University of Vermont. People say I look
a lot like the actor Brad Pitt but quite frankly I don't see
the resemblance.
I
was born in a small town in California called Los Angeles
but I've always wanted to go to school at the University of
Vermont because I have heard from my friends of the
wonderful teachers and students at the school. I also love
to ski and I should have an opportunity to do that during
the four winters that I'll be spending in Vermont. My last
and final reason for coming to the UVM is my love of Ben and
Jerry's, Ice Cream. When it's Chunky Monkey time I want to
be near the source.
I have owned a computer since I was in Kindergarten when I learned to play Pac -man with my older sister. By nine I was Riding the Oregon Trail and at fourteen, I was hooked on adventure games. Last year I discovered the Internet and have spent many hours surfing the net. One of my favorite sites is from NASA because I'm an astronomy freak.
My
own interests include down hill and cross country skiing,
mountain climbing, basketball, soccer, cross country track,
and playing the saxophone while I watch sun sets. I
particular enjoy running in the country and taking some back
woods trails. It's great exercise as well as thinking time.
I want to be a teacher because I know how important a good teacher is and how much influence they have on children. Both my parents are teachers and they enjoy what they do so much that I have always planned to follow in their footsteps. My dad is a high school science teacher and my mom is a middle school English teacher but I have always enjoyed working with younger children.
