Level two is geared to educators that have had some experience working with multimedia and want to learn how to create a web-based  professional portfolio using Netscape Composer, a free, widely distributed program. They will also learn how to work with iMovie to document their teaching and how to upload these to the web to incorporate into their professional portfolios.  Photoshop will  be used to create personalized graphics to web sites.

  • Examination of different models: Web-based models vs. program based models. 
  • Find information about using graphic organizers, (Graphic organizers,  concept maps visual tools, and Inspiration software)  and planning for your portfolio.
  • Storyboarding a portfolio: You can see a flow chart model of a school website and also look at    examples at Web Design  and look at a some storyboards I created for a professional portfolio.

  • Using graphical text to create professional looking documents.

  • Uploading files to the web 
  • Password protection of sensitive material, using an intranet, saving to a CD-rom. 
  • Adding to and editing portfolios.

  • Students taking this course for credit must complete their professional portfolio guided by the portfolio rubric
