The subject of the group project we hope to present are the events of May 1968 in France. We got together to discuss some possibilities of what exactly we planned to attack on this subject and we came up with a few ideas, none of which are final. So far we plan on examining the events of the time period and the relationship/influence these events had on the films produced at/during that time. We also hope to compare and contrast some aspects of the movement in France to similar or not so similar movements going on in the States at the same time. We hope to determine the major causes, subsequent major events, and the final outcome of the movement along with the effect it had on the larger society, and of course looking at who/what groups were involved, their goals and hopes of what the movement would produce.
