-Use of Media to persuade people to believe in a a specific point
of view. Campaign commercials spotlighting a negative view
of the opposing candidates. Political messages. I
think advertisements are not propaganda because the ads want you
to buy something not change your beliefs or opinions.
-Political Advertisements, slogans, directed at a specific
group. Examples: War Propaganda, Women's March,
Environmental Movements, Global Warming. Used to rally
people together, can be positive or negative.
-Twisting the facts for a biased purpose, ex. Cigarette campaigns
of the past "Cigarettes are Healthy!" Yes, companies utilize
propaganda in advertising.
-Hitler and his campaign against Jews and other minorities.
Distorted and magnified opinions. A distortion of truth that
appeals to emotions. Mass produced. Target audience.
-State-run News with an inherit bias, spreads misinformation to
promote an agenda. Ex. War, North Korea's News
Agencies. Not sure if advertising is propaganda.
Corporate agenda. Nazi Germany. Marginalizes and

propaganda WWII, Fox News supporting Donald Trump.
-Anything that is used to persuade and influence and
audience. Ex. Recent presidential election parties used
techniques to gain followers. I think advertising is a form

things. Prejudice, Stereotypes, uses fear, humiliation,

-Propaganda is distinct to marketing: Propaganda is used by
Governments, not only facism or communism, but here in our
democracy. Ex. Cartoons from WW II depicting Japanese as
monkeys, Hitler depicting jews as big-nosed trolls.
Propaganda is used by climate change deniers showing scientist as
snobby left elitist who laugh at the conservative working
man. Propaganda is used to generalize and marginalize.
Marketing can work the same way, but for $ gain.
