Gro Harlem Brundtland

In 1981, at age forty-one, Gro Harlem Brundtland, a physician and mother of four, took on a new job: prime minister of Norway. She was the youngest person and the first woman to ever hold that post. Now, she's the UN enoy on climate change. I spoke with her about carbon levels, Sarah Palin, and the global poor.

In 2005, scientists  around the world raised a glass — all to praise Albert Einstein. Hans Ohanian, professor of physics, was among them. He attended lectures and read a stack of new books — all dedicated to taking the measure of Einstein’s greatness. But Ohanian was struck by a constant omission: no one talked about Einstein’s many blunders. I talked with Ohanian about his new book Einstein's Mistakes.
