Freelance
Overview
In addition to being a staff science writer for
the University of Vermont, I keep one thumb in the freelancer's pie,
taking on ocassional projects for magazines and newspapers.
Specialties
I'm particularly interested in writing for popular audiences on
conservation biology, ornithology and
recreational birding, Vermont and New England natural history, climate
change science, and tree biology. I also write about offbeat topics in
outdoor recreation, like endurance swimming.
