Greek Biographies from Plutarch's Lives of the Noble Greek and Romans for Classics 21 Obituary projects

Please use: Times 12 point font, double-spaced, 1-inch margins. Write 2 pages, no more, no less. In other words, I want two full pages, full to the bottom of the page, but no more.

The subject of the obituary is to be the life of your figure. Make it lively but respectful. I encourage you to be imaginative: for example, write a funeral oration, or perhaps you could be provocative. Do not steer clear of controversy. It is not, however, appropriate to try to be funny at the expense of the dead in an obituary. You might go on the web and try finding portraits of your figure. You might even set up a web-site.

Please be sure to include in your projects the following information.
Birth date
Death Date
How we know those dates.
Major ancient sources for the life of your figure.
Major events in the figure's life.
Major accomplishments of the figure.

Please sign up in class for one of these figures. At most 4 students may sign up for any one Greek.
