Administrative Analyst/Planner
The Office of Institutional Research (OIR) gathers, analyzes, interprets, and distributes most of the student, faculty, staff, salary and curricular information in support of the budget, management, planning, and policy activities of the University. In addition, OIR publishes routine annual reports; responds to special requests; conducts survey research as well as cohort, salary and demographic analysis; provides statistical modeling expertise; and generates enrollment projections.
Goals
To be the source of the University's official enrollment, faculty and staff census, salary, and course/curriculum data and information
To provide the University administration with reliable and valid data, information, and analyses for the management, planning, and decision-making processes of the University of Vermont
To respond in a timely and accurate fashion to internal and external requests for data, information, and advice
To develop and maintain University data files for historical, analytical, research, and projection activities and programs (admissions, enrollment, retention and graduation rates, faculty and staff salaries, marketing and alumni survey research, etc.)
To serve as a source of data, information, and expertise to the entire campus community, as resources and time allow
To use technology to be more effective and efficient in doing our job
