     The Weather Channel's education site
          Includes a weather glossary, how to read weather maps, and links to more weather sites.
     Intellicast.com's education site
          Includes lessons on different weather phenomena, safety tips, and how to read different           weather maps (doppler, water vapor, pressure, etc.).
     University of Illinois meteorology online lessons
          Includes lessons on several aspects of meteorology, weather maps, etc.
     University of Illinois online forecasting lesson
          What you really want to know: how to form a forecast from all that data.
     Mount Washington Area Weather Info
          Excellent site for anyone going into the backcountry in the White Mountains. Includes all           variety of weather information including trail conditions, avalanche forecasts, and White           Mountain area weather information.

          Information on prevention, recognition, and treatment of hypothermia.
     Wilderness Medical Society
          Includes information on conferences, continuing education, and position statements of           the Society on treatment of different conditions in the backcountry.
     National Ski Patrol Outdoor Emergency Care
          Includes slides, course information, and content of the OEC curriculum.
     Animated Knots
          A site that provides animated graphics of different general purpose knots. Excellent for           the rope-challenged.
     Realknots.com
          A site full of links to different internet knotting and rope-tying sites. Sites range from basic           skills and terminology to the International Guild of Knot Tyers (!).

     The Green Mountain Club
          Homepage of the GMC includes trail conditions, shelter information, maps, and other           important resources for Vermont backcountry users and Long Trail enthusiasts.
     The Catamount Trail
          Information on the nordic ski trail that roughly parallels the Long Trail from MA to Canada.
