Additional Protections for Vulnerable Populations
There are unique considerations when enrolling vulnerable subjects into research protocols. Protocols which deal exclusively with vulnerable populations will have already addressed these issues and have a process in place.
However, a researcher may be faced with the opportunity to enroll a subject who falls into one of the following categories and the researcher should be aware of the special considerations.
