The Inter-Residence Association (IRA) is the student organization representing students living within the residence halls at the University of Vermont. Our focus is derived from our values of promoting global citizenship, representing diverse perspectives and experiences, and creating socially just communities. IRA works with Hall Council and NRHH to improve the quality of life in the residence halls through advocating on behalf of the residents, providing leadership development and community service.
The Inter-Residence Association (IRA) envisions itself as the prominent & influential voice of the residential students at the University of Vermont. We work to recognize and represent a spectrum of diverse perspectives. We strive to improve the quality of life of the residents by creating opportunities for leadership development, providing meaningful social & educational programming and fostering a safe and inclusive community. We aim to build relationships and strengthen the interconnectedness between the residents, student organizations and the greater UVM community.
