Introduction:
Hello 5th graders! Welcome to the Rainforest! You have just finished creating terrariums and aquariums and are starting to discover how complex our world really is! Now you can explore a new ecosystem. The rainforest is an incredible and beautiful place. You will find that there are two types of rainforests, tropical and temperate. They are home to millions of species of plants and animals. There is much to explore in the rainforest. Take some time to learn about it and appreciate all it has to offer. Unfortunately, the rainforest is also in danger. Find out what is happening to the rainforest and what you can do to help protect it. When you have completed this webquest, you should have a better understanding and appreciation of the rainforest and have some knowledge about the people, animals, and plants that call it their home. You should then be eager to share what you have learned with others. Have fun with this!!
