Introduction:

Hello researcher! As a class we dissected owl pellets and were able to learn a lot of great information about owls but not everything. Here’s your chance to learn more about the mysterious animals that only come out once we go to bed! There is so much to discover so get ready for an amazing adventure into the life of an owl!

Your Challenge:

A. Since you love owls so much you really want one as your pet, but you’re not sure if an owl would make a good pet. Take a journey through the following websites and learn lots of different interesting information about owls that would help you decide if they would like one. After you have found a lot of interesting information (such as where owls live, what they eat, if they are friendly) write a paragraph in your science notebook about your discoveries and decision.

 

B. While going through the websites answer the owl fun fact questions that can be found under each different website.

Your Journey:

1. Before you continue to discover all about owls, write down all of the information that you already know about them in your science notebook.

2. Go through each part of the webquest and click on the websites that are highlighted dark blue and underlined (they start with http://www). Each section will lead you to different important information about owls! This will help you decide if an owl could be your next pet!
