Tree Animal WebQuest |
| Grade: 4 |
| Introduction: What's up? My name is Punky the Monkey! I'm very young and see a lot of animals while I am gliding from branch to branch. They are all kinds of different colors like green, red, and brown, just to name a few. So, I was just wondering if you would join me for a ride around the rainforest's canopy layer (the highest part of the tree underneath the treetops). I'm going to let you in on a little secret: Not knowing these animals or anything about them scares me. Shhh! Don't tell anyone! While we are on our rainforest tour, can you teach me about all the animals we encounter? ...And you thought I was going to be giving YOU a tour! Haha! No. |

The
Challenge: It's time to brush up our knowledge about canopy creatures in the rainforest! We cannot help Punky unless we know a lot about the animals he sees up there. So, you must do some research on five different animals you would find in the canopy layer of a rainforest. Choose from the list of animals below to begin your search. Discover what these five animals eat, their predators, and how they protect themselves from any harm. List of Canopy Creatures: Green Iguana Green Tree Python Hermit Hummingbird King Vulture Macaw Monkey Sloth Tree Frogs ***Notice on the right where the canopy layer is! |
