Introduction

Congratulations third-grader!  It is the year 2030 and you have been hired as a reporter for the Space Age Daily News.  You currently work out of a storage room in the basement, which they call your office.  Your editor wants you to write a 50th anniversary article about Mount St. Helens eruption.  If your editor likes your article, and it gets published, you will be able to move out of the storage room and into a corner office with a great view!

The Challenge

Locate using the internet the Who?, What?, Where?, When?, Why?, and How? of the Mount St. Helens eruption.  Use that information and write an article for the Daily News.  Make sure to include at least one image, and a direct quote from a witness to the eruption.  If a group is completing this WebQuest, each member should complete at least one paragraph of the article.
