Batteries and DC CircuitsDuring this event you will learn everything you need to know about batteries. Don’t know the difference between NiCd, NiMH, Li-Ion, that’s OK, we’ll be covering all the kinds of rechargeable technology and what each is good for, as well a charging, discharging and battery management systems. |

Printed Circuit BoardsLearn how to design and make your own printed circuit boards. Most everyone has seen manufactured circuit boards but ever wonder how they are designed or made, well guess what, we can tell you. This is going to be more that just a lecture, we will be teaching basic use of TinyCad and FreePCB. TinyCad is a freeware program that is used to construct circuits, this data can be transferred into FreePCB to construct printed circuit board files. With the PCB file you can send your design out to be manufactured. We will also explain how to hand etch a printed circuit board. **Bring your own circuit or idea for an electrical circuit to practice with.** |

Web DesignDuring this event you will learn all about web sites. This project will revolve around HTML and CSS web page design. By the time the night is over you will have your very own web site hosted on the UVM server. Host: Jon Paquett |

Non-Newtonian FluidsThis week we will be using an electro-mechanical oscillator to observe the effects of non-Newtonian fluid in a dynamic environment. The frequency and wave of the oscillator will be adjustable. A non-Newtonian fluid is a fluid whose flow properties are not described by a single constant value of viscosity. Examples of non-Newtonian include starch suspensions, paint, blood and shampoo. |
