Northerly view of Park Street from intersection at North Street, L.L. McAllister, August 26, 1930

           L.L McAllister's 1930 view of 74 North Street and the surrounding construction. We see the shop, with a paving machine and workmen in front.

           A building occupying the spot that 74 North Street sits on appears on a 1900 Sanborn, and its footprint is similar to the building that remains there at present. While, the National Register Nomination for the North Street historic district dates it as c.1910 , I believe a more likely date to be c.1900. This building, like so many others on the street, was mixed-use shop and residential space on the first and second floor.{1}

Northerly view of Park Street from intersection at North Street, Michaela Hutchins, October 18, 2005. UTM coordinates (NAD 83) 0641594, 4927242.

         A present day photo of 74 North Street. We can see significant change has been made to the storefront, which implies a change in use. We can also see the corner of a street sign in the foreground and a "Do Not Enter" sign on Park Street, revealing the change of the northern half of the street to one-way traffic.
