Back to Property Index

35/37 Rose Street

This Colonial Revival home has a two by two bay with a chimney located at the center of the gable front roof.  The roof also is a slightly eaves, and the building is clad in shingles.  Along with some other buildings from this time, these two homes have been combined together, and many alterations have been done on it.

The only person that lived in 37 Rose, at least from the years 1886 through 1906, was FAZ Lefebvre. [9]   He was a grocer, and from what the records indicate, he also maintained his shop in the same place that he lived.  In 1906, Melen Thomas lived at 35 Rose and held the occupation of a grocer. [10]   Joseph Hansen also lived at 35 Rose in 1906, and was employed by Shepard and Morse. [11]
