155 SOUTH PROSPECT
151 South Prospect is well known as the Bittersweet house, a structure built in 1809 by Ichabod Tuttle. The main house is of brick construction, while the addition at 155 South Prospect is wood with Queen Anne stylistic features. While no solid dates exist for the construction of this addition, the 1869 Beers Map of Burlington shows a solid rectangular block at this location and the 1877 Birds Eye View map shows a rectangular block with a small addition on the south of the structure.
