215 North Champlain Street

This east-facing house has changed very little since its construction.  It appears to be exactly the same structure as on the 1877 Birds Eye View Map.  The original footprint included a shed roof one-story addition on the rear of the building.

The Mulqueen Family lived in the house from around 1869 until after 1890 [1] .  The Mulqueen's moved from a house on North Avenue near the Fair Grounds [2] .  According to the city directories many of the Mulqueen men worked for the railroad companies in the area.  The owner of the property was listed as Mrs. B Mulqueen in 1890 [3] .

The next family to live in the house for a long period of time was the Rickey Family, headed by Alfred [4] , from before 1907 until after 1932 when the widow of Alfred, Catherine lived there.
