What still stands from between 1869 and 1877 in Burlington, Vermont?

Back to North Champlain Street

178 North Champlain Street

This structure is a two-bay wide, gable front facade with an offset front entrance facing west.  It appears that the house may have been built for the Lynch Family prior to 1873 [1] who moved to this house from Water Street, now Park Street.  The house seems to have been altered very little since its construction, the footprint has not seemed to have changed at all [2] .

The Lynch Family lived in this house until the 1890s, in 1902 the house had been occupied by two men, Louis Bouchard and Michael Madigan [3] .  The house then was home to many different people [4] for short periods of time.
