Maps indicate that a building has been on this site as early as 1857. The cast iron detailing on this building is generally associated with a later period. Therefore it is probable to assume that the detailing is later. This is one of two homes on the lot listed as belonging to T. P. & S. A. Kennedy. Sarah Kennedy was a milliner with a shop on Church Street. Her address is sometimes listed as Church Street. However, beginning in 1881 Sarah's address is 370 St. Paul Street. (1)
