Spring 2005 History Review

Spring 2005 History Review

An Introduction to this Issue
The Spring 2005 edition of The UVM History Review represents some of the most thoughtful research and outstanding scholarship conducted by students in our department. The papers found in this online edition of the Review include the work of both graduate and undergraduate students. The following papers demonstrate the wide range of topics pursued in the academic discipline of history.

The Fall 2004 and Spring 2005 editions of the Review are now posted on the History Forum website, which includes a wide range of information on the activities of our history student club. In the coming weeks, a compilation of the best articles from the two online editions will be published in volume fifteen of the History Review’s print edition.

The History Review, on behalf of the entire History Department, would again like to thank Professor Wolfgang Mieder of the German and Russian Department for his generous contribution, which will ensure the publication of this year’s review.
