Proposals for New Projects

The following projects are in response to the ITEC Call for Proposals for new projects in information technology. They concentrate on enhancing UVMs image in world-wide scholarship, improving the student experience, and supporting faculty as they integrate technology into the curriculum.

Buried Treasure: Bringing UVMs Special Collections to Light

Object: Enhance UVMs position in humanities scholarship by contributing unique digital primary resources to the scholarly community.

FOCUS Plus: Enhancing the First Year Experience

Object: Enhance the first year experience and provide valuable life-long learning skills by making technology an integral part of a FOCUS course.

Hyperfiction is a Fact: A New Look at Writing

Object: Build upon Vermont's image as a writer's haven and enhance UVMs role as a solid supporter of creative and innovative writing.

Intensely Web: A Faculty Practicum

Object: To provide faculty with technology partners to help them integrate Internet technologies into specific classes.

Humanities Technology Center

Object: To make UVM a "world player" in the area of advanced technologies in the humanities.
