I'm a faculty member of the University of Vermont Department of
Social Work. I've been affiliated with the Department since 1991. I
received my Master's of Social Work (MSW) from SUNY Albany. I
received my doctorate in general psychology in 1989 from the
University of Vermont. My dissertation related to social and
community integration of persons with developmental disabilities.
I've been in Vermont since 1978. I've consulted with the State of
Vermont on its closure of institutions for persons with mental
retardation. This was only the second state in the U.S. that closed
all of its public large congregate facilities.
