LANE SERIES: Kobo Town

Time: 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Location: UVM Recital Hall
Description: LANE SERIES: Kobo Town.

Engaging, edgy, political, smart lyrics and infectious melodies: Kobo Town is one of those bands whose music gets under your skin, into your head, and won’t get out (in a good way). Led by the charismatic and brilliant performer Drew Gonsalves, Kobo Town plays music based in the Calypso traditions of Trinidad. Kobo Town is named after the historic neighborhood in Port-of-Spain where calypso was born. Combining the intricate wordplay of classic Caribbean music and running it through a 21st Century filter, Kobo Town plays celebratory and joyful music that sounds wholly original and authentic. Plus it’s loads of fun.

Pre-performance talk at 6:30pm.

LIMITED NUMBER OF FREE TICKETS WHILE SUPPLIES LAST. Stop by the L/L Director's Office to pick up yours as soon as possible!
