There are many German House events during the course of a semester. One of the Spring 2010 events was a presentation by Prof. Dennis Mahoney on "German Traditions of Karneval, Fastnacht and Fasching," followed a week later by a student celebration of "Karneval" at the Living/Learning Center.
The German House Program at UVM: Das deutsche Haus
Das deutsche Haus Program at the Global Village Residential Learning Community is a popular, student-designed program for students of German, who live in the "German House/Das deutsche Haus" at the Living/Learning Center at UVM, and participate in many cultural and academic German-themed events throughout the year.
