The deadline for all students seeking financial aid in the form of fellowships or assistantships is March 1, or the application deadline, whichever is earlier. It is in the applicant's best interest to make sure that application materials are filed well in advance of deadlines. Some programs can accommodate only a limited number of new graduate students each year.
Some programs are willing, on occasion, to review late applications, and some programs accept applications for January admission. Please contact the specific program regarding its policy on these exceptions.
