For Chairpersons and Program Directors in Social Sciences and Humanities departments with graduate programs
We are requesting nominations for the Graduate College Fellowships. The deadline for receipt of nominations in the Graduate College Office is the date listed in the Calendar.
Ten Graduate College Fellowships are awarded annually in support of students in master's degree programs in the social sciences and humanities. Five fellowships include a stipend (approximately $7,500) plus a tuition scholarship (48 credit hour maximum) for graduate coursework and thesis research credit and five fellowships fund only scholarships. The stipend is for nine months and is non-renewable; the scholarship may be continued into the second year of the fellow's program, up to the 48 credit hour total.
Holders of Graduate College Fellowships are required to maintain full-time enrollment (at least nine and preferably twelve credit hours per semester) and to achieve satisfactory progress (B [3.00] or better) in coursework and research.
Eligibility is limited to new graduate students (enrolled prior to March l) and to current students who applied to the Graduate College after March 1 and thus were ineligible for Graduate College Fellowship support that year.

Awards are made to the top ten applicants selected by the reviewers.
