The Green Mountain Battalion Army ROTC is your opportunity to combine your prior military experience with the college degree you are currently pursuing!

Did you know?

  • The first two years of Army ROTC are not required for students who served on Active Duty or who are currently serving in the National Guard/Army Reserve.
  • Additional Scholarships and money from Army ROTC are awarded in addition to your VA Benefits.
  • Your service in any of the services counts for pay and retirement purposes as an officer.
  • Green Mountain Battalion Army ROTC provides you the same military career opportunities as someone graduating from West Point or OCS.
  • You can be in Army ROTC and in the National Guard or Army Reserve.

Green to Gold

If you are still on Active Duty, contact the Green Mountain Battalion Army ROTC program and find out how you can attend the University of Vermont, The State University of New York at Plattsburgh, Saint Michael's College, Champlain College, Castleton State College, Johnson State College, Middlebury College, or Vermont Technical College on a Green to Gold Scholarship.
